Every message is read by a person. Corrections to safety figures go to the top of the pile.
We would like to hear from you — whether you have a question about a guide, spotted something that is wrong, want to suggest a topic, or need to reach us about a copyright matter.
The best way to reach us is by email:
We usually reply within 1–3 business days.
Before you email — one important exception
If you have an emergency, do not email us. If a carbon monoxide alarm has sounded, if you can smell gas, or if anyone is showing symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure — headache, nausea, dizziness, confusion, drowsiness — get everyone out of the building and call your local emergency services from outside. We are a publisher, not an emergency service, and we cannot respond fast enough to help.
For anything non-urgent, read on.
What can we help you with?
Corrections. This is the one we care about most. If a figure on this site is wrong, out of date, or missing the conditions attached to it, tell us the page URL and the specific claim. We correct factual errors promptly and, where material, note the correction on the page. Our Editorial Policy sets out how we handle this. We would genuinely rather be corrected than consistent.
Questions about a guide. If something is unclear, or you cannot work out how a figure applies to your situation, ask. We can point you to the source, explain the reasoning, and tell you where the answer depends on something we cannot see.
Please note the limits: we cannot tell you whether a specific appliance is safe in your specific room. That requires someone who can inspect the installation, and in most jurisdictions gas work legally requires a licensed engineer. See our Disclaimer.
Suggest a topic. Is there a question about fuel, heating or combustion you could not find a straight answer to anywhere? Those make the best guides. Tell us what you searched for and what you failed to find.
Technical review and expertise. If you work in heating, gas, fuel supply, combustion engineering or indoor air quality and you would like to review our guidance or contribute, we would like to talk to you. Our credibility rests on being checked by people who do this for a living.
Copyright and DMCA notices. If you believe material on this Site infringes your copyright, email editors@upfuel.online with the details described in our DMCA & Copyright Policy. If you would rather just raise a concern informally first, that is welcome too.
Republishing, syndication and translation. Want to use our material? Short quotes with attribution and a link need no permission. For anything larger, email us — we are usually happy to say yes, provided safety conditions travel with the figures.
Privacy requests. To ask about the information we hold, or to exercise rights under CCPA/CPRA or other privacy law, email us at the same address. See our Privacy Policy for details of what we collect.
Advertising, partnerships and press. Reach us at the same address. Note that we do not accept payment for editorial coverage, placement or favourable treatment, and we never have.
